The energy and excitement filled the air of the Middle School gymnasium as the Taipei American School (TAS) Tigers faced the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) Panthers for the first time today in the IASAS Girls Volleyball 2019. With the TAS Tigers coming out victorious with a score of 2 sets to 0, the bleachers were full of parents and students who were eager to witness the volleyball match.
In the first set, the game started out intense. Team captains Karen (#12), Charlotte (#3), and Emily (#2) led the TAS Tigers, while ISKL Panthers were led by Ziya (#12) and Maya (#16). From the start, TAS Tigers dominated the court. They played brilliantly and with great teamwork, succeeded in winning the set. The ISKL Panthers struggled to keep up, but they did their best and never gave up. The set ended with a score of 25-11 to the Tigers.
In the second set, the Tigers and the Panthers battled it out once again. Initially, it seemed as though the ISKL Panthers were going to win the set - since they were in the lead. However, TAS continued to push hard, including only freshman player Catrina (#1), who contributed a lot of points to the Tigers. This led to the final set ending with a score of 25 to 12 in favor of the Tigers. With both teams displaying an enormous amount of talent on the court, we look forward to their next games.
