Starting off with their usual team huddles, JIS and TAS began the game with high spirits despite the light rain. The bleachers were lively and loud, full of cheers from the spectating parents, students, and friends. The noise levels reached deafening levels when TAS bagged their first goal at the 3:50 mark.
The first goal woke up JIS’s sleeping dragons, who then pushed harder to overcome their opponents. The Tigers responded to JIS’s fiery determination with a fighting spirit of their own, creating a very physical and entertaining battle. By the 30 minute mark, however, JIS’s spirit proved too much for the TAS players, in the with the Dragons leading 2-1.
The game resumed after half-time with renewed enthusiasm from both sides. The pace of the game picked up quicker than ever, and the sun finally shone over the field. Both literally and metaphorically, things started looking brighter for TAS as they managed to score a goal and levelthe game at 2-2.
Just when it started to look like the game would end in a draw, JIS pulled ahead in the last 5 minutes. The cheers were loud and clear and the JIS players smiled down at the field and patted each other at the back. They may have celebrated too early, though.
To everyone's surprise, TAS scored a goal in the last 3 minutes and salvaged 2 points. Truly a close match for the two teams. BT congratulates both teams for their outstanding efforts and wishes them good luck for the next games!
