The HS gym was fully packed for the incredible SAS versus TAS game. Supporting students, their parents, and others within the bustling room were at the edge of their seats, watching the ball soar across the net from team to team. The SAS parents, notably, were full of school pride, and their cheers for their own children and others echoed in the room. Upon interviewing a mom proudly decked out in Eagles merch, she jubilantly exclaimed, “We’re all just so proud of our boys! Win or lose, that won’t change.” The beat of the drums matched the crowd’s heartbeat— this game was definitely not lacking in the action department.
Both teams performed incredibly. TAS brought the energy with their powerful serves— Ethan H. (#10), most noticeably served up several amazing ones, really giving the SAS boys a run for their money. Their synergy and work as a team did not go ignored either.
The SAS players, particularly Gabriel P. (#16), dominated the court with their spikes and blocks, letting everyone in the crowd know that their team is a force to be reckoned with. Their players certainly emphasized the importance of teamwork. Their movements were intricate and coordinated, propelling them into success.
Although the game was a close one— a real nail-biter at times!— it was SAS that ended on top, winning 2 sets as compared to TAS’s 1 set.
Nice win, Eagles!
