GIRLS VOlleyball: ISM vs. ISB
For the last match of the school week, gym-stands were jam packed. Excited peers, parents, and IASAS players cheered on their respective schools in a match that brought ISM one step closer to bringing home the gold. Before the match, ISM stood in second place with only one loss, making it interesting to see how they matched against the Bangkok Panthers who had also demonstrated themselves to be extremely capable athletes.
During the first set, both teams proved themselves to be formidable opponents. The game seemed evenly matched as the score climbed point by point alternating between the two teams in the first half of the set. However, ISB took the lead after the break, with incredible performances from Kanyarak, Minnie, and Parima. The set ended with ISB at a whopping 16 points ahead.
Throughout the second set ISM showed tremendous resolve. Notably, Elena and Sofia, players 4 and 11, showed exceptional defensive talent, helping lead the team to victory over the second round.
Tensions ran impossibly high for the third set as ISB and ISM were neck and neck. ISM dominated the gym after they pulled ahead during the second set, claiming victory for the Bearcats. All in all, both teams should be extremely proud of themselves, and we can only wish them the best of luck in their matches for tomorrow as IASAS comes to an end.
